Hot Potato Child Safety Standards
Hot Potato is intended only for adults who are at least 18 years old. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation, child sexual abuse material, grooming, sextortion, trafficking, or any conduct that exploits, abuses, or endangers children.
Prohibited Content and Conduct
- Users may not create, upload, request, share, promote, or discuss child sexual abuse material.
- Users may not sexualize minors or attempt to contact, groom, coerce, exploit, or endanger minors.
- Users may not use Hot Potato to facilitate child exploitation, trafficking, abuse, or illegal sexual activity.
- Users may not impersonate a minor, misrepresent their age, or help another person bypass age and safety protections.
Reporting and Feedback
Users can report safety concerns through the in-app feedback and support tools. Child safety concerns can also be sent directly to support@hotpotato.app.
Reports should include relevant account details, screenshots if safe and lawful to provide, and a short description of the concern. Do not forward or redistribute illegal material.
How We Respond
We review child safety reports and may remove content, restrict or terminate accounts, preserve relevant records, and escalate credible child safety concerns to appropriate authorities or child protection organizations where required or appropriate.
CSAM Handling
If we identify apparent child sexual abuse material, we will take action to remove or restrict it, preserve evidence as legally appropriate, and report it to the relevant authorities or reporting organizations. We do not permit users to store, request, share, or distribute CSAM on Hot Potato.
Legal Compliance
Hot Potato complies with applicable child safety laws and cooperates with lawful requests from law enforcement and child protection authorities. We may also use moderation, account review, rate limiting, and other safety controls to detect and prevent abuse.
